OPPORTUNITY SET

A broad digital-market opportunity set, deliberately structured.

StableEdge allocates capital across a diversified set of digital-asset yield strategies — lending, fixed-yield, carry, credit, real-world-asset and relative-value exposures. Positions are selected, sized and managed on a risk-adjusted basis, with the objective of durable income from identifiable economic sources rather than directional token exposure.

Mandate taxonomy

5 FAMILIES · 13 STRATEGIES

  • Capital supplied to borrowers and credit structures, from on-chain markets to negotiated private terms.

    • Lending
    • Recursive / Leveraged Lending
    • Structured & Private Credit

StableEdge allocates across a broad digital-market opportunity set. Individual portfolios use only the strategies that satisfy mandate, risk and return requirements at the time.

The opportunity set spans 13 economic strategies, selected and sized as mandate, risk and return requirements allow.

INSTITUTIONAL ARCHITECTURE

Built to institutional standards.

Digital-asset investing rewards operational discipline as much as strategy selection. These are the structural controls the platform is built around.

Manager & fund structure
StableEdge strategies are intended to operate through ring-fenced investment vehicles using a conventional manager / general partner and limited-partner structure where applicable. The manager is responsible for portfolio construction, execution oversight, risk management and reporting, while investor interests are represented through the relevant fund or investment vehicle.
Regulatory position
StableEdge is preparing for launch. At launch, it will operate within South Africa’s financial-services regulatory framework: crypto assets are financial products under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS), with relevant crypto-asset financial services falling under the jurisdiction of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), and StableEdge will operate through an appropriately authorised Crypto Asset Service Provider / Financial Services Provider structure. Nothing on this site states or implies that StableEdge currently holds a licence, and no regulator endorses StableEdge, its products or its technology.
Custody & key management
StableEdge operates a self-custody architecture built on multi-party computation (MPC). Under MPC, private key material is generated and used in distributed form: no single person, device or location ever holds a complete private key, and transactions are signed through a cryptographic threshold protocol. Separation of key shares across independent environments is designed to remove any single point of failure from complete-key storage; this is a cryptographic property of the architecture, not a guarantee against all loss paths, and residual operational, implementation and availability risks remain.

03Source / THE YIELD ENGINE

Where the yield comes from.

Every position StableEdge holds is understood by its economic source — what is actually being paid for, and by whom. Open any source to see who pays, why the payment exists, how the mechanics work, and what risks the yield compensates.

01Lending
Paid by
Borrowers.
Why it exists
Borrowers pay to obtain liquidity, leverage or working capital without selling existing assets.
How it works
StableEdge supplies an approved asset to a lending venue. Borrowers post collateral or borrow under an approved credit structure. Interest accrues to lenders.
Primary risks
Collateral, liquidation, protocol, counterparty, liquidity and credit risk depending on structure.
Lending mechanics: StableEdge capital → Lending market → BorrowerStableEdge capital to Lending market; Lending market to Borrower; Borrower to StableEdge capital (Interest).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
02Recursive / Leveraged Lending
Paid by
Borrowers and/or the underlying yield source, net of StableEdge's own borrowing cost.
Why it exists
On-chain collateral is highly composable, allowing capital efficiency to be increased when spreads are sufficiently attractive.
How it works
Deposit yield-bearing collateral → borrow against it → redeploy borrowed funds → repeat only within predefined leverage, LTV and funding-cost limits.
Primary risks
Liquidation, spread compression, borrow-rate spikes, depeg, liquidity and smart-contract risk.
Recursive / Leveraged Lending mechanics: Capital → Yield asset / collateral → Borrowed capital → Yield asset ↺Capital to Yield asset / collateral; Yield asset / collateral to Borrowed capital (borrow); Borrowed capital to Yield asset ↺ (redeploy).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
03Fixed Yield & Rate Markets
Paid by
Market participants willing to pay for floating-rate exposure, future yield or duration transfer.
Why it exists
Different investors value certainty, duration and future yield differently.
How it works
StableEdge acquires fixed-rate claims, principal-token-style instruments, discounted assets or other instruments where the maturity value is known or bounded.
Primary risks
Issuer/asset risk, smart-contract risk, liquidity, duration and mark-to-market risk.
Fixed Yield & Rate Markets mechanics: Capital (today) → Discounted / fixed-rate claim → Maturity value (future)Capital (today) to Discounted / fixed-rate claim; Discounted / fixed-rate claim to Maturity value (future).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
04Carry & Funding
Paid by
Leveraged traders, hedgers or other participants demanding financing.
Why it exists
Derivatives and financing markets require one side of the market to compensate the other when positioning is imbalanced.
How it works
StableEdge constructs a hedged exposure designed to capture funding, financing spreads or carry while limiting directional market exposure.
Primary risks
Funding reversal, hedge slippage, exchange/counterparty, liquidity and basis risk.
Carry & Funding mechanics: Spot / collateral leg + hedge leg → Funding / carry capturedSpot / collateral leg + hedge leg to Funding / carry captured.
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
05Basis, Relative Value & Arbitrage
Paid by
Market dislocations, liquidity demand and investors willing to transact at different prices across venues or instruments.
Why it exists
Fragmented digital markets frequently price equivalent or closely related exposures differently.
How it works
Buy the cheaper exposure and sell/hedge the richer exposure; profit is realised if the spread converges after costs.
Primary risks
Basis widening, execution, liquidity, venue/counterparty, borrow availability and model risk.
Basis, Relative Value & Arbitrage mechanics: Cheap asset — long → Rich asset — short → Convergence spreadCheap asset — long to Convergence spread; Rich asset — short to Convergence spread.
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
06Liquidity Provision & Market Making
Paid by
Traders through fees, spread and sometimes protocol incentives.
Why it exists
Markets require standing liquidity so buyers and sellers can transact efficiently.
How it works
StableEdge supplies assets into approved liquidity venues or market-making structures and earns compensation from trading activity.
Primary risks
Inventory, adverse selection, impermanent/divergence loss, smart-contract, volatility and liquidity risk.
Liquidity Provision & Market Making mechanics: Asset A + Asset B → Liquidity pool / market → Traders — fees / spreadAsset A + Asset B to Liquidity pool / market; Traders — fees / spread to Liquidity pool / market; Liquidity pool / market to Asset A + Asset B (Fees).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
07Staking & Network Yield
Paid by
The network through issuance, transaction fees and related protocol economics.
Why it exists
Proof-of-stake networks compensate capital and infrastructure that help secure and operate the network.
How it works
Approved assets are staked directly or through approved liquid-staking structures while StableEdge manages validator, liquidity and derivative risks.
Primary risks
Slashing, validator, smart-contract, depeg, liquidity and token-price risk.
Staking & Network Yield mechanics: Asset → Stake / validator → Network securityAsset to Stake / validator; Stake / validator to Network security; Network security to Asset (Rewards).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
08Structured & Private Credit
Paid by
Borrowers, originators or structured-product issuers.
Why it exists
Borrowers may value bespoke financing, speed, collateral flexibility or access that public markets do not provide.
How it works
StableEdge underwrites borrower, collateral, covenants, maturity and recovery terms before allocating capital.
Primary risks
Default, recovery, legal enforceability, collateral, concentration and illiquidity.
Structured & Private Credit mechanics: StableEdge capital → Borrower / structure → Coupon + principalStableEdge capital to Borrower / structure (collateral / covenants); Borrower / structure to Coupon + principal.
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
09Tokenised Real-World Assets
Paid by
The underlying real-world borrower, issuer or asset cash flow.
Why it exists
Tokenisation can make traditional assets more programmable, composable and operationally efficient.
How it works
Capital acquires a regulated or appropriately structured digital claim on an off-chain asset or financing exposure.
Primary risks
Issuer, legal, servicing, redemption, settlement, custody, liquidity and regulatory risk.
Tokenised Real-World Assets mechanics: Capital → Token / SPV → Real-world assetCapital to Token / SPV; Token / SPV to Real-world asset; Real-world asset to Capital (Cash flow).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
10Tokenised Cash & Treasuries
Paid by
Government securities, bank deposits, repo or underlying money-market assets.
Why it exists
On-chain portfolios need a base yield, cash-management layer and collateral reserve.
How it works
StableEdge holds approved tokenised instruments whose economic backing is short-duration cash or high-quality liquid assets.
Primary risks
Issuer, redemption, legal, custody, liquidity, duration and stable-value risk.
Tokenised Cash & Treasuries mechanics: StableEdge capital → Tokenised cash instrument → T-bills / MMF / depositsStableEdge capital to Tokenised cash instrument; Tokenised cash instrument to T-bills / MMF / deposits; T-bills / MMF / deposits to StableEdge capital (Base yield).
Mechanics — solid: capital · dashed: return flow
